Blessed Birth Doula Services

During Pregnancy

• Initial consultation/interview to determine if I am a good match for the needs of you and your family in regards to your birth.  This meeting is free of charge, whether or not you choose to hire me as your doula.
• Two prenatal visits during which we will become acquainted and you will be able to communicate to me your wishes, desires and expectations when it comes to your birth.  We will also go over some basic childbirth education and comfort measures for labor during your prenatal visits.
• Assistance in writing a birth plan
• Unlimited support by phone or email prior to your labor
• 24-hour on call availability starting at 37 weeks gestation

During Labor

• Continuous labor support, beginning at the onset of labor or when you decide to call me.  If desired, I will come to your home prior to your going to the hospital or birth center.  I will come to you, wherever you are, whenever you are ready.
• Recording of events as they happen during labor and assistance with photography and/or videography if desired

Postpartum

• Immediate assistance with breastfeeding and support following delivery.  I will stay with your family for 1-2 hours to help you get settled after the birth.
• Postpartum visit two weeks after birth.  At this time, we will visit about your birth experience and will go over any questions you may have.  I will also present you with a written account of the day your baby was born - your birth story.
• Referrals are available for postpartum doulas and lactation consultants if needed or desired.
